Manufacturing and Process Table for Valve Chamber
-
Body
It is manufactured in a curved dome shape to withstand external stress by cutting and bending in accordance with the specification using KS D 3503 general structural steel (SS400).
-
Manhole cover and base
Since the cover is exposed to the ground, it uses spheroidal graphite cast iron (GCD450), which is resistant to external stress when in contact with a vehicle or the like. A sealing ring should be designed on the bottom of manhole cover to ensure it is tightly sealed when joining.
-
Connector
It should be designed to connect the pipe inside the box by drilling a pipe port in accordance with the branch pipe specification so that the branch pipe can pass.
A rubber ring should be inserted in the connection part so that water cannot penetrate from the outside. -
Rubber packing
Rubber packing should be evenly shaped, smooth-surfaced, and no harmful defects such as bumps and cracks, and its physical properties should be consistent with KS M 6613 (rubber goods for water works service).
-
Ladder
By using KS D 3503 general structural steel (SS275), a ladder should be designed inside manhole to make it easy to access.
-
Stiffener (ribs)
Stiffener (ribs) strengthens the force to withstand external stress applied to the body. KS D 3503 general structural steel (SS275) is used, and rib spacing can be adjusted upon request.
