Excavation is carried out based on the excavation regulations stated in the standard specification of Korea Expressway Corporation.
The width of the excavation is as follows.

In order to evenly distribute the load acting on the corrugated steel pipe, the following conditions of foundation ground are observed.

For the minimum height of fill after the construction, 300 mm or more or D/5 from the bottom of the pavement, whichever is greater, is applied.
